Everything’s coming up roses for Windy Harbour Holiday Park as it scoops a prestigious award from VisitEngland for service excellence.

The VisitEngland ROSE Awards are given annually to just 100 quality-assessed accommodation businesses from all across the VisitEngland schemes, and are in recognition of hardworking hosts who go the extra mile to create outstanding customer experiences.

Windy Harbour was the pick of the bunch for delivering world-class service from the very first welcome to the moment their guests head home, and is a popular Partington’s Holiday Park located within a short distance of Lancashire’s breathtaking countryside, rolling hills and lush green forests, as well as its stunning natural coastline and miles of golden sand.

What is the Rose Award?

The ROSE Award stands for Recognition of Service Excellence and is given in recognition of accommodation providers across England who offer visitors the very best customer experience. The awards are based on a combination of VisitEngland quality assessments, assessor observations, customer feedback submitted directly to VisitEngland and online reviews, with judges also looking for innovation and the things that make individual businesses stand out.

ROSE Award winners span the full spectrum of accommodation, from hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses to self-catering properties, glamping sites, hostels and holiday parks. All recipients are part of the VisitEngland Quality Schemes and have demonstrated a true commitment to service excellence and innovation, making Windy Harbour’s latest achievement a particularly proud moment for the Partington’s team.

Partington’s Holiday Parks owns and operates holiday parks across Lancashire, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales all with a focus on family fun and future innovation, and has long been synonymous with a warm welcome, exceptional customer service and lasting family memories.

Partington’s Chief Executive Officer, Rob Kearsley, said: “This award is a wonderful recognition of the passion, care and attention to detail Park Manager Shelley Jones and the entire team at Windy Harbour put into creating great experiences for our guests. Hospitality is all about people, and our teams are at the heart of everything we do. From the moment our guests arrive, we want them to feel genuinely welcomed, looked after and excited to be on holiday. This award is testament to everyone at Windy Harbour who goes that extra mile to make that happen.”

Fellow CEO, Andrea Challis, added: “We’re also incredibly proud that the award is based on feedback from our guests as well as the VisitEngland assessment process. Knowing that the people who stay with us recognise the effort our team puts in makes this achievement particularly special. It’s something everyone at Windy Harbour can be very proud of.”

The 2026 ROSE Awards, now in their 10th year, were officially presented at a special event at The Post Barn,Newbury, on 8 September. VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: “The VisitEngland ROSE Awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England. They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets and a great welcome for visitors. Where people rest their heads is central to ensuring memorable visitor experiences and these providers drive tourism and its benefits across communities.”
