We’re proud to announce that Walterz Entertainment Centre at Newton Hall Holiday Park in Staining has partnered with The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation to sponsor and support Kids Rugby and Multi-Sports Camps at Fleetwood Rugby Club.
This partnership helps create more opportunities for children and families across Wyre by supporting access to safe, fun, and enriching school holiday activities.
Through our sponsorship, the Foundation will be able to fund eight fully supported places per camp, allowing children to attend Rugby and Multi-Sports Camps during three key school holiday periods throughout the year.
These places are offered to children referred by local schools, social workers, and family support services – ensuring that those who need it most can enjoy an active and inclusive holiday experience that might otherwise be out of reach due to financial or social barriers.
Each child selected for the programme will receive:
• A fully funded place at three four-day school holiday camps
• Daily hot meals to ensure no child goes hungry while attending
• Transport to and from camp, removing key access barriers
• A fun, inclusive programme of sports and activities promoting teamwork, participation, and confidence
• Prizes, medals, and trophies to celebrate engagement and achievement
For many children, school holidays can be a time of isolation, inactivity, and food insecurity. This initiative provides so much more than a camp … it offers structure, belonging, and opportunity.
The programme aims to:
• Provide structure and positive social interaction during school holidays
• Tackle physical inactivity and encourage healthy lifestyle habits
• Build confidence, friendships, and resilience through teamwork and sport
• Offer a pathway into community sport, keeping children engaged long after the holidays
All sessions are delivered by fully qualified community sports coaches, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every participant.
