We are recruiting for a skilled Grounds Person/Warden to support the Park Management in providing an outstanding service; creating a well maintained and safe environment for our customers, ensuring the Park grounds, facilities, buildings and equipment are well maintained on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience of working on a holiday park and understand the impact of beautiful surroundings and customer service on our guests; our vision is ‘to make every day feel like a holiday’.
Role: Grounds Person with Warden duties (live in position with accommodation provided)
Location: Black Beck Holiday Park, Ulverston, LA12 8JN
Hours: 40 hours per week, days off to be discussed.
Salary: £14.16 per hour
Role overview
- Responsible for on-call phones and keys
- Greeting out of hours customers checking in and issuing them with keys, welcome packs and guiding them to their pitch
- Performing check-ins and responding to call outs to assist guests / owners
- Key point of contact to inform the Park Manager (and/or emergency services or other Wardens) of any incidents
- Assist with the movement of caravans, siting, levelling and plumbing into main services, testing and final inspection of same before the caravan is handed over to the purchaser
- Undertake pruning, strimming, mowing as well as flagging and laying turf etc
- Maintain buildings, machinery, hot tub, equipment and vehicles, drains, including daily and routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensure the repair and general upkeep of the roads
- Undertake as required the delivery of gas cylinders to caravans on the Park

Requirements
- A background in landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and experience with power tools are highly desirable. Experience of moving siting and levelling of caravans would be advantageous though training will be provided
- Able to produce right to work documentation (e.g. passport or birth certificate & NI document)
- Able to produce valid (preferably clean) manual driving licence
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and guests effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
