Our CEO, Andrea Challis, has been visiting our holiday parks across Lancashire, the Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales, taking the time to meet the incredible people who help make our parks such special places. From hospitality teams and receptionists to maintenance crews and support staff, it’s all about recognising the dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to create fantastic experiences for our owners and guests every day.
As Andrea continues her journey around our beautiful holiday parks, this week’s visit takes us to Broadwater Holiday Park, where our Grounds team plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring our Parks look as good as they can!
Andrea had the pleasure of catching up with Darren Daly, our fantastic Grounds Supervisor at Broadwater Holiday Park. But there’s more to Darren than his important role within the team – here are a few fun facts to help us get to know him better!

Favourite childhood holiday:
I’ve been thinking about this… it’s not about destination for me, its about the people you’re with. I used to go to Great Yarmouth with my Grandma and Grandad – it was the one time of the year I went on a train trip!
Favourite food:
I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth – it’s Lemon Meringue Pie! It has to be homemade.
What I wanted to be when I was a kid:
I wanted to be a lorry driver!
