Our CEO, Andrea Challis, has been visiting our holiday parks across Lancashire, the Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales, meeting the amazing people who make our parks so special. From park managers to maintenance teams and receptionists, it’s all about celebrating the friendly faces and dedicated individuals who create unforgettable experiences for our owners and guests every single day.

This week, Andrea, continues her tour of our stunning holiday parks with a visit to Broadwater Holiday Park in Lancashire. Located in Fleetwood, the park offers easy access to Blackpool and its many attractions – and is home to an incredible team!

One of the stars of the show is Phil Gamble, our superb Park Manager who’s been with us for an incredible 17 years! Phil plays a huge part in keeping the park running smoothly, maintaining its high standards, and ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable stay.

There’s a lot more to Phil than meets the eye – here are a few fun facts to help us get to know him better!

Favourite childhood holiday:
America – I visited twice with my nan!

Favourite food:
Chinese or lamb chops.

What I wanted to be when I was a child:
I wanted to be a vet when I was growing up because I’ve always loved animals! I had a pet hamster and some goldfish as a child.

A fun fact you probably don’t know:
I wouldn’t call it a fun fact, but I was born prematurely at just 26 weeks, weighing only 1lb 3oz. I celebrated a “100-day birthday,” as not many babies survived back then. I was eight months old when I finally left the hospital.

My different roles within Partington’s:
I started my career at Broadwater in 2008 as a part-time gardener and became full-time in 2009. Since then, I’ve worked as a warden and grounds team member at Newton Hall, Park Manager at Greenfield Park while also serving as Foreman at Newton Hall. I’m now proud to be the Park Manager at Broadwater.

Have any friends or family worked for Partington’s?
No, but possibly in the future – my son might work there here!

Length of service:
I have worked at Partington’s for a brilliant 17 years!

Keep your eye out for more team member features! We know our guests and owners love our team just as much as we do, so why not get to know them a little better?
