Chief executive officers Andrea Challis and Robert Kearsley are a brother and sister team, keen to retain the personal touch of knowing the names of every one of the 300 team members and personally meeting each one. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on treating everyone as an individual.

Partington Hotels was founded on 13th November 1944 by its founding members John William Partington Snr, Mary Partington, Frank Partington and George Partington.

Windy Harbour and Newton Hall Holiday Parks in Lancashire close to the holiday resort of Blackpool are the longest established of the Holiday Parks, having been welcoming guests as far back as 1948.

Broadwater Holiday Park in the Lancashire coastal town of Fleetwood first welcomed guests in 1960 and in 1966 club and bar facilities were added for guests.

Over the following decades the business continued to grow with the addition of Tarn House Holiday Park in the Yorkshire Dales and Black Beck Holiday Park in the Lake District being added to the portfolio in the 1970’s.

Partington’s Holiday Parks is thrilled to have celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2024 and continues to invest throughout the business. Recent projects have included the development of a new reception and Country Store at Black Beck in the Lake District along with the addition of new luxury lodges and refurbished luxury holiday cottages with hot tubs. At Tarn House, near Skipton the 17th century Manor House underwent a huge investment with the development of a new reception, Country Store and traditional bar area complete with a dog snug and a roaring fire. New touring pitches and Holiday Home areas have also been introduced. At Newton Hall Holiday Park in Lancashire close to the vibrant holiday resort of Blackpool, a brand new £2m entertainment centre called Walterz has been opened offering ten-pin bowling, luxury karaoke booths and a range of games from traditional shuffleboard to pool along with great bar and dining options.

Rob and Andrea are also the masterminds behind the incredible new leisure development Partington’s is planning at Windy Harbour which represents a £75 million investment into the region and will sit within the expansive 166-acre natural site, which currently surrounds the 64-acre Windy Harbour Holiday Park.

“This new development will feature beautiful new holiday lodges, a stunning luxury spa and lifestyle complex and full leisure facilities, all with a focus on harmonious integration into the landscape, and is our way of futureproofing the business for the next generation and beyond.” says Rob, with the enthusiasm for a thrilling new project evident on his face. What is it that sets Partington’s apart from other holiday parks? CEO Andrea believes it’s the strength and unity of the team members. “Our team genuinely feels like they’re part of something special. We regularly come together to share ideas and spark creativity – one memorable session involved a word jumble where everyone wrote down the words they associate with Partington’s. The standout words from everyone were “fun,” “family,” and “friendly” – which perfectly captured who we are and naturally became our motto.

It’s not just a tagline for us. We have also come out on top for the Employee Questionnaire for the North West Employers Engagement Group each year, which was wonderful to see. People are happy and enthusiastic in our workplace because we don’t treat them like a number. 75% of our managers are women now too and that’s a big change from how it used to be when I first started. I was the only woman in the room all those years ago.”
