Yule never guess what happened at Walterz Entertainment Centre this week!
The popular Entertainment Centre at Newton Hall Holiday Park was transformed into a winter wonderland of festive fun and games on Wednesday 24 June as specially invited guests swapped the summer heatwave for Santa hats and lots of circus sparkle in celebration of this year’s LEON DAY – the halfway point to Christmas 2026. And it was a real cracker of a night!
Santa’s special guests enjoyed a ringside seat as Walterz decked the halls to unwrap this year’s colourful Christmas party plans and sampled just some of the fabulous festive food and entertainment set to make this year’s celebrations bigger, brighter and merrier than ever.
Party people were also bowled over by all the fun of the fair as they enjoyed taking to the lanes on the slick ten-pin bowling alleys; throwing double tops at the innovative AR darts; teaming up for vintage game favourites from pool to pinball, and even rocked around the Christmas tree in the kickass karaoke booths; all while a live DJ spun seasonal tunes as Christmas spirit filled the air!
Leon Day takes place annually on 25 June, marking exactly six months until Christmas Day. The name is ‘Noel’ spelled backwards and has become a firm favourite among Christmas enthusiasts, also marking the day crafters begin planning their homemade gifts and decorations for the holiday season. Some people even celebrate over two days (24 & 25 June) as they love Christmas Eve just as much as the big day itself!

Walterz Entertainment Centre is open seven days a week – from 12noon to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 12 noon to 11pm on Fridays, 10am to 11pm on Saturdays and 10am to 10pm on Sundays. It’s free entry with all games individually priced and parking is free too! Booking advised for private karaoke booths and bowling when not part of a pre-booked package.
Café at Walterz is open seven days a week – from 9am to 8.45pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 9am to 8.15pm from Sunday to Thursday. Perfect for late night bites! Please note – Last food orders half an hour prior to close.
Families are welcome before 7pm daily and a variety of games and activities are suitable for all ages during these times. Children aged under 12 years old are not permitted in the venue after 7pm, however if they are dining with family they may use the Café at Walterz.
